24/7 mental health & social support via call, chat, and WhatsApp

The Digital Lifeline is a mental health and social support initiative aimed at providing immediate, accessible, and confidential assistance to youth (ages 10–30) facing emotional distress, mental health challenges, or social pressures. Through call, chat, and digital platforms, the program offers counseling, guidance, and follow-up services to help youth build resilience and cope with challenges such as depression, substance abuse, and social isolation.

Objectives

  • To provide immediate mental health support for youth in distress.
  • To increase awareness of mental health issues and reduce stigma.
  • To equip youth with coping strategies for emotional and social challenges.
  • To connect youth to professional support, counselling, and community resources.
  • To create a digital-first support network accessible from remote and underdeveloped areas.

Key activities

Call & Chat Support

  • 24/7 or scheduled digital lifeline via phone, WhatsApp, or chat platforms
  • Confidential support for mental health, bullying, substance abuse, or personal crises
  • Immediate response and triage to appropriate care or referrals

Digital Counseling Sessions

  • Online counseling with qualified mental health professionals
  • Group support sessions and peer support networks
  • Workshops on emotional intelligence, stress management, and resilience

Crisis Intervention & Community Collaboration

  • Work with schools, churches, and community groups to identify at-risk youth
  • Collaboration with healthcare providers, counselors, and NGOs
  • Emergency intervention protocols for high-risk situations
