This program aims to equip youth (ages 10–30) with foundational and advanced skills in coding, programming, and general ICT literacy. It is designed to empower participants to understand, develop, and apply technology solutions for personal, educational, and entrepreneurial purposes.
Objectives
- To provide youth with basic to intermediate ICT literacy (computer operations, internet, software usage).
- To teach programming and coding skills in languages relevant to today's job market (Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS).
- To develop problem-solving and logical thinking skills through technology projects.
- To enable participants to create innovative digital solutions for local challenges.
- To prepare youth for careers or further studies in technology and ICT-related fields.
Key activities
ICT Literacy Training
- Basic computer skills (Word processing, spreadsheets, presentations)
- Internet navigation, email, cloud tools, and collaboration platforms
- Safe and responsible technology use (cybersecurity basics, digital citizenship)
Coding & Programming Modules
- Introduction to programming concepts (variables, loops, functions)
- Web development basics (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- App development fundamentals (simple mobile apps)
- Game development basics (using Scratch or Python libraries)
Hands-On Projects
- Mini coding challenges and hackathons
- Build personal projects (websites, apps, automation scripts)
- Collaborative projects to solve community problems using tech
Who it's for
Primary: Youth aged 10–30, especially from rural or underdeveloped areas. Secondary: School students and early career youth interested in tech skills.
